Android 15 brings a range of new features aimed at improving user experience, performance, and security. Android 15 Release Date
Google is expected to release Android 15 in Q4 2024. While developers and early adopters can access the beta version through Google's Developer Preview Program, the stable public release is set for later in the year. This will be followed by device-specific updates from major brands like Samsung, Vivo, Oppo, and Realme.
Release Date in India
Indian users can expect Android 15 to roll out in sync with global releases, especially for Google Pixel devices. Samsung, Oppo, and Vivo users in India may receive the update by the end of Q4 2024 or early Q1 2025.
Beta Program and Supported Devices
The Android 15 beta program is available for select devices, including the Google Pixel 6, 7, 8, and 9 series, Pixel Fold, and Pixel Tablet. Vivo has announced beta updates for its X100 and iQOO 12 series. Samsung's One UI 7, based on Android 15, will soon launch for flagship Galaxy models.

Android 15 Download for Pixel Devices
Google Pixel users can download Android 15 through the beta program or wait for the official release later in 2024. Devices supported include the Pixel 6, 6 Pro, 7, 7 Pro, and newer models, including the Pixel Fold and Pixel Tablet.
Update Rollout for Samsung, Vivo, Oppo, and Realme
Samsung’s One UI 7 will introduce Android 15 across flagship devices like the Galaxy S and Z series. Oppo and Vivo are set to follow closely with their respective updates for premium models. Realme users can expect the update for flagship models in early 2025.

How to Install and Set Up Android 15 SDK
Install the SDK
- Open Android Studio and go to Tools > SDK Manager, then click Show Package Details.
- In the SDK Platforms tab, expand Android API 35 and select Android SDK Platform 35.
- In the SDK Tools tab, select the latest version of Android SDK Build-Tools 35.x.x.
- Click OK to install the SDK.
